Περίληψη

Η Εκπαίδευση για το Περιβάλλον και την Αειφορία (ΕΠΑ) προτείνεται ως μια μετασχηματιστική παιδαγωγική διαδικασία, η οποία προσβλέπει στη δημιουργία ενός νέου εκπαιδευτικού πλαισίου αναφοράς. Το αειφόρο σχολείο υιοθετεί τις αρχές της ΕΠΑ και αναπτύσσεται ως οργανισμός μάθησης, σε τρία αλληλοεξαρτώμενα επίπεδα λειτουργίας, ενθαρρύνοντας συνεργατικές διεργασίες και  προωθώντας το άνοιγμα του σχολείου στην κοινότητα. Η συνεργασία σχολείου-οικογένειας μέσω της γονικής εμπλοκής μπορεί να αποτελέσει το όχημα που θα διευκολύνει το «άνοιγμα» αυτό. Η ερευνητική δραστηριότητα αναφορικά με τους παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν τη γονική συμμετοχή και τα οφέλη της στην εκπαίδευση των παιδιών, εξετάζεται σε συνδυασμό με το σφαιρικό μοντέλο και την τυπολογία γονικής εμπλοκής που προτείνει η Epstein και οι συνεργάτες της (2019). Τύποι, όπως, γονική μέριμνα, για τον προσδιορισμό κάθε οικογενειακού πλαισίου,  επικοινωνία, υποστήριξη του σχολείου στη μελέτη στο σπίτι, εθελοντική συμμετοχή των γονέων στα εκπαιδευτικά δρώμενα, διευκολύνουν τόσο την υπέρβαση των εμποδίων που δυσχεραίνουν τη συνεργασία σχολείου-οικογένειας όσο και τη δυνατότητα όλων των γονέων να συμμετέχουν στην εκπαίδευση των παιδιών τους με θετικά αποτελέσματα για όλους τους εμπλεκόμενους. Παρόμοια αποτελέσματα αναδείχτηκαν και στη διδακτορική διατριβή που υλοποιήθηκε με επιβλέπουσα την Ομότιμη Καθηγήτρια κ. Ε. Φλογαΐτη, με τίτλο, «Η συνεργασία σχολείου-οικογένειας στο πλαίσιο του αειφόρου σχολείου. Μια έρευνα δράσης σε νηπιαγωγείο».
