Abstract

It is known that the growth and spread of trade led to the establishment of strong trading communities throughout Europe. The caravans, the land trade routes, throughout the Balkans and in Europe were in the hands of Greeks. Along with the commercial network that was developed, a network of Greek Communities and communities with churches and schools was also woven, in almost all the major urban centers of Europe. According to Pisanias (2014), over a period of forty years, from the Treaty of Kioutsouk Kainartzi to 1820, with the prevalence of Greek merchants in Europe and Russia, there is a strong interest in literacy. Munich is probably an exception to the rule, because the Greek community was not founded as a trading post and perhaps that is why it does not appear with the dynamics of the Danubian Greek communities. However, it shows strong philhellenic activity which, among other things, is the reason to attract young people to study.
