Περίληψη

Στο κείμενο γίνεται μια προσπάθεια να παρουσιαστούν και να συζητηθούν ζητήματα που σχετίζονται με τη διδασκαλία και τη μάθηση των Επιστημών στις δομές της τυπικής και μη τυπικής εκπαίδευσης, κάτω από την πίεση μιας απαισιόδοξης επιστημονικής πρόβλεψης. Μιας πρόβλεψης που μιλά για την πλανητικού επιπέδου προσέγγιση της ανθρωπότητας σε μια καμπή της Ιστορίας της. Η πρόβλεψη αυτή διατρέχεται από αβεβαιότητα, η οποία προκύπτει τόσο από την επιστημονική τεκμηρίωσή της, όσο και από τις συνδεδεμένες με τη διαχείρισή της, ανθρώπινες παρεμβάσεις. Αυτή η αβεβαιότητα, διαμορφώνει ένα πολιτισμικό πλαίσιο αυξημένης αστάθειας, αβεβαιότητας και ασάφειας στον πολύπλοκο «Κόσμο» μας. Μέσα σ’ αυτό το κλίμα οι πολίτες διαχειρίζονται την καθημερινότητά τους, εκπαιδεύονται και οραματίζονται το μέλλον τους. Στο κείμενο που ακολουθεί, δοκιμάζω μια ανασκόπηση χαρακτηριστικών της δυναμικής και της εξέλιξης της τρέχουσας εκπαίδευσης στις Επιστήμες, επιχειρώντας να απαντήσω το μάλλον βασικό ερώτημα: υπάρχουν δυνατότητες προσαρμογής των Ελληνικών εκπαιδευτικών δομών στους «αβέβαιους καιρούς μας»;
