Abstract
A church dedicated to the Virgin was founded in the turn of the thirteenth to the fourteenth century in the countryside of Chios. The study of its architecture and monumental painting was Charalambos Bouras’ first publication in 1960. The iconographical program of the murals, whose majority was not visible at that time, is presented in the following paper, with a commentary on the iconography of many scenes, whereas the relations with the artistic trends of the Palaiologan period are also pointed out. Their dating is estimated shortly before 1317.
