Abstract
The present article is an attempt to correct and re-read already known, or unknown, foundation inscriptions in the following churches of the Selinon and Kissamos provinces: St. Demetrios, Leivadas (1315/16, naming the painter assisted by Pagomenos), St. John the Theologian of Trachiniakos, Kantanos (1329, clarifying inscription’s phases), St. George of Tsarkos, Prodromi (1337/38), Panagia, Kadros (1338/39, church’s dating), St. John the Theologian, Kalamos (1340, church’s dating), Archangel Michael, Vathe (Kouneni) (1336/37, dating and reading of the signatures of “Pagomenos and his son Nicholas”).
