Abstract
The katholikon of the Monastery of Zerma in the prefecture of Ioannina is a cross-in-square of the two- column variation with a twin-domed narthex to the west. Transverse barrel vaults cover the parabemata and the western corner bays. A sail vault covers the western bar of the cross. The church was once adorned with frescoes dated 1655, the work of Nikolaos and Georgios from Linotopi. The door frame of the west entrance is adorned with rich decoration in relief and bears the date 1802, the year the church was renovated.
