Περίληψη

Η ανακάλυψη της αλφαβητικής αρχής αποτελεί σημείο καμπής στην πορεία εκμάθησης των αλφαβητικών γλωσσών (Verhoeven & Perfetti, 2021) και απαραίτητη γνώση για την κατάκτηση του γραπτού λόγου κατά την ανάδυση του γραμματισμού στην προσχολική ηλικία (Vygotsky, 1978). Στο άρθρο αυτό επιχειρείται η καταγραφή της γλωσσικής ανάπτυξης ενός παιδιού εν τη εξελίξει της κατά τη φάση του πρώτου γραμματισμού του έως την ανακάλυψη της αλφαβητικής αρχής, καθώς επίσης επιδιώκεται η ανάδειξη των κοινωνικών παραγόντων με τη σημαντικότερη επίδραση κατά τη διαδικασία αυτή. Η έρευνα βασίστηκε στην στοχευμένη και σε βάθος ανάλυση δεδομένων μιας ευρύτερης διαχρονικής μελέτης περίπτωσης, στο πλαίσιο της οποίας εξετάστηκαν γραπτά και προφορικά κείμενα που παρήγαγε ένα αγόρι, ο Ανδρέας, κατά τη διάρκεια συμβάντων γραμματισμού στο οικογενειακό του περιβάλλον, σε συνδυασμό με πληροφορίες που αντλήθηκαν από συνεντεύξεις-συζητήσεις με τους γονείς του. Η αναπτυξιακή πορεία των γλωσσικών ικανοτήτων του Ανδρέα αποτυπώθηκε με επάρκεια ενώ, μέσα από την αξιοποίηση πυκνών περιγραφών, φωτίστηκε η τεράστια συμβολή της οικογένειας και η σημαντική επιρροή του νηπιαγωγείου στην αποκάλυψη του μηχανισμού της αλφαβητικής αρχής.
