Περίληψη

Η παρούσα Μελέτη Περίπτωσης (Case Study) αφορά την εφαρμογή ενός προγράμματος ενίσχυσης  της εργαζόμενης μνήμης και ταχύτητας επεξεργασίας σε μαθητή στη διαταραχή του αυτιστικού φάσματος. Από την ανάλυση των αποτελεσμάτων που ανέδειξε το συγκεκριμένο ερευνητικό εγχείρημα διαφαίνεται μια μικρή ενίσχυση της εργαζόμενης μνήμης και μια έκδηλη βελτίωση της ταχύτητας επεξεργασίας. Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τις αξιολογικές εκθέσεις των εμπλεκομένων στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία του μαθητή αλλά και τη σχετική βιβλιογραφία (π.χ. βλέπε Papadopoulos et al., 2018; Jensen, 2006) που διασυνδέουν την ταχύτητα επεξεργασίας με τη γενικότερη νοημοσύνη του ατόμου, η μελέτη αυτή, παρά τις εγγενείς επιφυλάξεις που προσδιορίζουν το μικρό δείγμα και καθιστούν αδύνατη κάθε γενίκευση των ευρημάτων της, επιβεβαιώνει τη σημαντικότητα της επιτελικής νοητικής λειτουργίας της ταχύτητας επεξεργασίας στη μάθηση ευρύτερα και ειδικότερα στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία.
