Abstract
This paper aims to present extensively actions undertaken by the students of two classes of the 1rst Model Experimental Primary School of Alexandroupolis during the implementation of the International Program teacher training and intervention (We CARE) during the academic year 2012 - 13. The International Program We CARE is one of the intervention programs whose actions aim at promoting positive change and mental resilience in the school community through the utilization of inner strength, incentives and abilities at individual and group level.In order to implement the actions of the program there was teacher training via e-learning platform, upon which there followed pre-planned interventions in the classroom, divided into three sections.Teachers who participated in the program were able to work together and “travel” online together with other schools in the Greek region, as well as with schools abroad through an online interactive game named "Sailing for Caring" (Sailing4Caring). Each activity applied in class was accompanied by a corresponding application in the online game. These activities were designed based on the age group to which the students belonged.
