Περίληψη

Οι δύο τελευταίες σχολικές χρονιές έδωσαν στην εξ αποστάσεως σχολική εκπαίδευση αναπάντεχα τον πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο, διεθνώς, λόγω της εξάπλωσης της πανδημίας COVID-19 και των συνεπαγόμενων εκτάκτων συνθηκών. Σε πολλές χώρες ξεκίνησε η «επείγουσα εξ αποστάσεως σχολική εκπαίδευση», όρος που πρωτοεμφανίστηκε το 2020, για να αντιμετωπιστεί η πρωτόγνωρη κατάσταση με μεθόδους απομακρυσμένης διδασκαλίας («Επείγουσα Απομακρυσμένη Διδασκαλία» -“Emergency Remote Teaching”).

Ένα τέτοιο μεγάλο εγχείρημα, χωρίς προηγούμενο, ξεκίνησε και στη χώρα μας με το αναγκαστικό κλείσιμο των σχολείων τον Μάρτιο του 2020.

Οι νέες σύνθετες πρωτόγνωρες συνθήκες απαιτούν νέους ρόλους για όλους τους εμπλεκόμενους φορείς της σχολικής εκπαίδευσης. Τα εκπαιδευτικά συστήματα δοκιμάζονται στους τρόπους και τις μεθόδους αναζητώντας τη διατήρησης της εκπαιδευτικής πράξης, την παιδαγωγική ευθύνη, τη βελτίωση του ψηφιακού γραμματισμού και την  τεχνολογική ετοιμότητα.

Η εκπαιδευτική κοινότητα περιμένει από το Υπουργείο Παιδείας μια πιο συντονισμένη στρατηγική βασισμένη πάνω σε θέματα παιδαγωγικού σχεδιασμού και όχι απλά αναφορές σε τεχνολογικό εξοπλισμό και προγράμματα. Τώρα είναι η κατάλληλη στιγμή για να αποφασίσει η πολιτική ηγεσία τη δημιουργία ενός ευέλικτου φορέα για τον συντονισμό της εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης στην πρωτοβάθμια και δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση.

Sofia Papadimitriou studied Mathematics and has a master's degree in ComputerScience (M.Sc) from the Athens National University. Her Ph.D. entitled “The role of tutor-counsellor and the development of his supporting mechanism in a collaborative learningenvironment in distance education” regards to the field of Open and Distance Learning inHigher Education and was developed at the Hellenic Open University. She was an ICT Secondary teacher and also an educator in ICT training courses forprimary and secondary teachers. She has been working in the Educational Radio-Television, since 2007 coordinating its Digital Media and she was appointed as the Headof the unit in 2015. Furthermore, she coordinated on behalf of the unit the Europeanprojects: EduTubePlus, MEDEAnet, March (MAke science Real in sCHools) andfurthermore participated in the Energy-bits and at the development of the Digital School reform. She has been working at the Hellenic Open University as a tutor-counselor and at theUniversity of Piraeus in post graduate courses since 2017 and supervises thesis in thepost graduate courses at the Hellenic Open University  and the University of Crete. She isa postdoctoral researcher at the Aegean University in the field of Digital Literacy inAudiovisual Media.She has also contributed in national and international conferences with papers andpresentations in the field of Open and Distance Learning, Open Educational Resources,Media and Information Literacy, and the use of Digital and Audiovisual Media inLearning. She has co-authored chapters in academic books published by IGI GlobalBooks, Routledge and Gutenberg. Among them the chapter «Good practices andEmerging trends in Media and Information Literacy» is in the book “Public Policies inMedia and Information Literacy in Europe”, edited by Routledge and the Media andInformation Literacy Policies in Greece in the framework of the research ANR TRANSLITand COST Transforming Audiences/Transforming Societies.
