Παραβατικότητα σε αθλητικά πλαίσια: Προβλεπτικοί παράγοντες για αθλητές και φιλάθλους

Περίληψη
Σημαντική μερίδα των συμπεριφορών παραβατικότητας που παρουσιάζουν οι νέοι εκδηλώνονται στο πλαίσιο αθλητικών διοργανώσεων. Η συγκεκριμένη μελέτη είχε σκοπό να εξετάσει πώς η εμπλοκή με μια αθλητική ομάδα, ως φίλαθλος ή αθλητής, σχετίζεται με διαφορετικά επίπεδα παραβατικότητας. Είχε επίσης σκοπό να διερευνήσει κατά πόσο η υψηλή ταύτιση με την αθλητική ομάδα αποτελεί προβλεπτικό παράγοντα για την εκδήλωση παραβατικών συμπεριφορών. Στη συγχρονική αυτή μελέτη συμμετείχαν 222 άτομα, με μέσο όρο ηλικίας τα 23,5 χρόνια. Οι συμμετέχοντες συμπλήρωσαν ένα ερωτηματολόγιο αυτοαναφοράς για αξιολόγηση του βαθμού και του ρόλου εμπλοκής τους σε αθλητικές διοργανώσεις, των επιπέδων γενικής παραβατικότητας εκτός αθλητικών διοργανώσεων και ειδικής παραβατικότητας που εκδηλώνουν στο πλαίσιο αθλητικών διοργανώσεων και της ταύτισης με την ομάδα. Σύμφωνα με τις αναλύσεις παλινδρόμησης που διενεργήθηκαν, οι αθλητές και οι φίλαθλοι φάνηκαν να διαφέρουν σημαντικά από την εμπλοκή τους σε μια αθλητική ομάδα, ως προς τα επίπεδα παραβατικότητας. Η ταύτιση με την ομάδα φάνηκε να αποτελεί στατιστικά σημαντικό προβλεπτικό παράγοντα της παραβατικότητας που εκδηλώνουν οι φίλαθλοι, ακόμα και για φιλάθλους με χαμηλά επίπεδα γενικής παραβατικότητας εκτός αθλητισμού. Τα ευρήματα της παρούσας έρευνας έχουν πρακτικές προεκτάσεις και συζητείται το πώς μπορούν να βοηθήσουν στον σχεδιασμό κατάλληλων παρεμβάσεων για τη μείωση της συχνότητας των παραβατικών συμπεριφορών σε αθλητικούς χώρους.
