Abstract

The article focuses on key ways in which a film can be a means of teaching in the classroom and an object of educational processing in teaching. Three approaches are presented, which are compatible with the educational reality and have been tested in schools, but also in the context of practical exercises in the Pedagogical Department of Elementary Education. Of particular interest is the third approach that focuses on the creation of a video notebook. The importance of creating an activity notebook is an international educational practice that presents the following advantages: a) it creates for the specific film/video permanent educational material, b) it contributes to the gradual composition of a repository of thematic educational materials for audiovisual resources and c) it expands the educational material of school textbooks with student-centered activities that enhance the active cognitive, emotional, expressive involvement of students based on open cultural resources. An example of an educational video notebook is also included in the article.
