Η επίδραση του κοινωνικοοικονομικού επιπέδου των γονέων στις επιδόσεις των μαθητών
Abstract
Ο σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να διερευνήσει την επίδραση του κοινωνικοοικονομικού επιπέδου των γονέων στις εκπαιδευτικές επιδόσεις των μαθητών τους, χρησιμοποιώντας δεδομένα από την έρευνα του προγράμματος PISA για το έτος 2022. Ειδικότερα, η μελέτη θα επικεντρωθεί στη διερεύνηση της σχέσης μεταξύ του κοινωνικού και οικονομικού επιπέδου των γονέων και των επιδόσεων των μαθητών στα μαθηματικά, την ανάγνωση και τις επιστήμες. Οι μεταβλητές που θα χρησιμοποιηθούν περιλαμβάνουν τους δείκτες ESCS (Economic, Social, and Cultural Status Index), PAREDINT (Index of highest parental education) και HISEI (Highest International Socio-Economic Index of Occupational Status). Η ανάλυση θα πραγματοποιηθεί χρησιμοποιώντας την τεχνική της παλινδρόμησης στο SPSS, με τις εξαρτημένες μεταβλητές να είναι οι επιδόσεις των μαθητών στα τρία βασικά αντικείμενα (μαθηματικά, ανάγνωση και επιστήμες). Οι ανεξάρτητες μεταβλητές θα περιλαμβάνουν τους δείκτες ESCS, PARED και HISEI, οι οποίοι θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για να εκτιμηθεί η επίδραση της κοινωνικοοικονομικής κατάστασης, της εκπαίδευσης των γονέων και του επαγγελματικού καθεστώτος των γονέων, αντίστοιχα. Τα αποτελέσματα της ανάλυσης αναμένεται να δείξουν σημαντικές συσχετίσεις μεταξύ του κοινωνικοοικονομικού επιπέδου των γονέων και των εκπαιδευτικών επιδόσεων των μαθητών. Η ερευνητική υπόθεση είναι ότι υψηλότερα επίπεδα ESCS, PARED και HISEI θα συσχετίζονται θετικά με υψηλότερες επιδόσεις των μαθητών. Αυτές οι συσχετίσεις θα υποδεικνύουν ότι οι μαθητές από οικογένειες με υψηλότερο κοινωνικοοικονομικό επίπεδο έχουν περισσότερες ευκαιρίες για επιτυχία στην εκπαίδευση, λόγω καλύτερων πόρων και υποστήριξης. Τέλος, η εν λόγω μελέτη αναμένεται να συμβάλει στην κατανόηση των κοινωνικών ανισοτήτων στην εκπαίδευση και να παράσχει χρήσιμα δεδομένα για τη χάραξη εκπαιδευτικής πολιτικής. Οι εκπαιδευτικές αρχές μπορούν να χρησιμοποιήσουν τα ευρήματα για να αναπτύξουν στρατηγικές υποστήριξης για τους μαθητές από χαμηλότερα κοινωνικοοικονομικά στρώματα, με στόχο την προώθηση της εκπαιδευτικής ισότητας και την ενίσχυση των εκπαιδευτικών αποτελεσμάτων.
