Abstract
Twenty-two panagiaria dated from the fourteenth to the nineteenth century are preserved in the monastery of Vatopedi. Τhis paper deals with only five items (14th-16th century); four already published panagiaria are re-examined and one hitherto unknown is presented. New observations concerning the style, the dating and their origin are made. Moreover some thoughts on their patrons and the way that the panagiaria were acquired by the monastery will be discussed.
