Abstract
This paper deals with eleven Palaiologan icons, which date back from the second half of the 13th century to the last quarter of the 14th century. These icons originate from various places, but most of them come from Mesembria (Nessebar) on the Black Sea Coast; they are exhibited in different parts of Bulgaria, and according to our research, they are works of painters who belonged to artistic workshops, mainly of Constantinople, and secondarily of Thessaloniki.
