Abstract

The article discusses briefly the main anthropological features of space and its meaning. The subjects that are broached here concern the understanding of the latter as the result of a series of qualities that are attributed to it, along with its symbolic relationship to the community that lives in it and who comes to configure the sanctity of the space. Furthermore, this aspect of sanctity is investigated at three different levels, that of the village, of the countryside and the international one. Finally, this overview resumes that sanctity as a power prioritizes the qualities of space and the way the latter is being used, organizes the relationships and ensures continuities.
