Byzantinische agrikulturwerkzeuge und maschinen
Abstract
In this article the author discusses the Byzantine tools and machinery used in agricultural labor. Their presentation is organized in groups according to their use; it also includes their name from the sources, their building material, the description of their shape, and their depiction in several media of art along with references from excavation records. This study should be considered as a contribution to their iconography and cultural history during the Middle and Late Byzantine periods.
