Abstract

Eight dedicatory inscriptions written on the walls of the churches decorated by painters from Linotopi and one inscription on a silver revetment from an icon of a workshop originating from the same village is the subject of this study. The scope of it is twofold; On the one hand, to correct any omissions, and on the other, to present the new evidence and to highlight the relevant bibliography on that subject. Parallel to that, this brief examination of the inscriptions provides insights on the relations of the family workshops, their lifespan and their clientele network.
