Icône inédite de saint Théodore à cheval, terrassant le dragon « drakontoktonos » d’Anchialos sur la Mer Noire

Abstract
An unpublished large-scale icon (107x77x3 cm.) of St. Theodore the Dragon-Slayer on horseback is stored in the church of the Transfiguration of Christ in Anchialos (modern Pomorie). The icon is likely the work of an anonymous local artist active in the second half and most probably at the end of the 15th century who was inspired by 15th century works of the Cretan School through which he renewed the local artistic tradition.
