Περίληψη

Η χρήση των Τεχνολογιών Πληροφόρησης και Επικοινωνίας από τους εφήβους σε αρκετές περιπτώσεις συνδέεται με την εκδήλωση περιστατικών κυβερνο-εκφοβισμού. Ορισμένοι ατομικοί παράγοντες, όπως τα ψυχοπαθητικά χαρακτηριστικά, αυξάνουν την πιθανότητα συμμετοχής με τον ρόλο του θύτη, ενώ η ανωνυμία και η απουσία κοινωνικού ελέγχου που χαρακτηρίζει τις διαδικτυακές αλληλεπιδράσεις τείνει να ενισχύει την άρση των αναστολών και την επίδειξη επιθετικής συμπεριφοράς. Ελλείψει επαρκών ερευνητικών δεδομένων, σκοπός της παρούσας έρευνας ήταν να εξετάσει τον ρόλο των ψυχοπαθητικών χαρακτηριστικών στην πρόβλεψη της συμμετοχής των μαθητών σε περιστατικά κυβερνο-εκφοβισμού, καθώς και τη ρυθμιστική επίδραση της άρσης αναστολής κατά τη χρήση του διαδικτύου, ελέγχοντας ταυτόχρονα τυχόν διαφορές φύλου. Το δείγμα αποτέλεσαν 1.097 μαθήτριες/ητές Γυμνασίου, οι οποίοι συμπλήρωσαν ανώνυμα ερωτηματολόγια αυτό-αναφοράς. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι τα ψυχοπαθητικά χαρακτηριστικά της μεγαλομανίας-χειριστικότητας και της αναλγησίας-απάθειας προέβλεπαν θετικά τον κυβερνο-εκφοβισμό, με την άρση αναστολής κατά τη χρήση του διαδικτύου να ενισχύει αυτή τη σχέση. Παρόλο που τα αγόρια συμμετείχαν συχνότερα στον κυβερνο-εκφοβισμό, το φύλο δεν διαφοροποίησε το μοτίβο της αλληλεπίδρασης μεταξύ ψυχοπαθητικών χαρακτηριστικών και άρσης αναστολής. Συνολικά, τα ευρήματα υποδεικνύουν ότι τα ψυχοπαθητικά χαρακτηριστικά ενδέχεται να εκδηλώνονται εντονότερα σε περιβάλλοντα όπου οι κοινωνικές αναστολές μειώνονται, προσφέροντας πολύτιμα δεδομένα για την πρόληψη και την πρόληψη και παρέμβαση σε σχολικό πλαίσιο.
