School social work: Ecosystemic interventions for strengthening intercultural communication
Abstract
Today's school serves as a meeting point and interaction field for cultures, where every voice must be heard, and every identity should be highlighted. This article examines the dynamics of school social work in the modern educational environment, emphasizing the critical role of the ecosystemic approach in promoting intercultural communication and inclusion. Drawing on Bronfenbrenner's theory, the study demonstrates how interactions among micro-, meso-, exo-, and macrosystems can positively shape the school experience. Additionally, it analyzes practical intervention examples that enhance collaboration among students, educators, and parents in multicultural school settings. The need for further research and the development of evaluation tools to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of these interventions is underscored.
