Αντιλήψεις παιδιών για την ποιότητα των διαπροσωπικών τους σχέσεων στη σχολική τάξη και τα κίνητρά τους για μάθηση

Περίληψη


Οι κοινωνικές συμπεριφορές που εμφανίζονται στο σχολικό περιβάλλον μπορούν να επηρεάσουν τα μαθησιακά αποτελέσματα. Η παρούσα έρευνα εξετάζει εάν οι αντιλήψεις των παιδιών για τη σχέση τους με τους συμμαθητές και τους εκπαιδευτικούς στο σχολείο σχετίζονται με τις πεποιθήσεις τους για τα κίνητρα μάθησης. Επιπλέον, εξετάζονται διαφορές στις παραπάνω μεταβλητές μεταξύ παιδιών δημοτικού σχολείου και γυμνασίου. Συγκεκριμένα, αξιολογήθηκαν οι αντιλήψεις των παιδιών για το βαθμό στον οποίο οι συμμαθητές και οι εκπαιδευτικοί αναγνωρίζονται ως πηγές ψυχο-συναισθηματικής ασφάλειας στο χώρο του σχολείου, με βάση δύο ποιοτικά γνωρίσματα διαπροσωπικών σχέσεων: την αμοιβαία εμπιστοσύνη/ποιότητα στην επικοινωνία και την αποξένωση. Τα γενικά κίνητρα των παιδιών για μάθηση και σχολικές επιδόσεις, αξιολογήθηκαν με ερωτήσεις που αφορούσαν στο βαθμό προσήλωσης στα μαθήματα, τις προσδοκίες στη διαδικασία της μάθησης και τη συναισθηματική αποφασιστικότητα για διατήρηση καλών σχολικών επιδόσεων. Τριακόσιοι εξήντα μαθητές από 4 δημόσια δημοτικά σχολεία και γυμνάσια του νομού Αττικής (μέση ηλικία = 10,49 έτη, τ.α.= 0,50, 51,1% αγόρια) συμμετείχαν στην έρευνα. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι η αντιλαμβανόμενη αμοιβαία εμπιστοσύνη/ποιοτική επικοινωνία στη σχέση των παιδιών με τους εκπαιδευτικούς και τους συμμαθητές τους αποτελούν σημαντικούς προβλεπτικούς παράγοντες θετικών πεποιθήσεων για τα κίνητρα μάθησης στα παιδιά. Αντίθετα, η αντιλαμβανόμενη αποξένωση στις διαπροσωπικές σχέσεις στη σχολική τάξη, βρέθηκε να ασκεί σημαντική αρνητική επίδραση στις πεποιθήσεις κινήτρων μάθησης. Τα κίνητρα μάθησης φαίνεται να φθίνουν στους μαθητές του γυμνασίου. Επιπλέον, βρέθηκαν σημαντικές διαφορές στην αντιλαμβανόμενη σχέση εκπαιδευτικού-μαθητή, μεταξύ μαθητών δημοτικού και γυμνασίου, με τα μικρότερα παιδιά να δηλώνουν ότι εμπιστεύονται και επικοινωνούν καλύτερα με τους εκπαιδευτικούς τους.
