The impact of poverty in general and children in particular and possibilities of preventative action and its reduction
Abstract
In the present article we examine the phenomenon of poverty, which has expanded lately worldwide and in local societies, with our country showing more and more higher rates since the beginning of the economic crisis. Information is given about what is poverty in general and children’s poverty specifically, how children make sense of it and how it affects them, what are its effects in the education, the teachers and the parents and suggestions are made for its prevention and its decrease.
