Abstract
Computers are used lately in our country in few private and public day care centers and kindergartens. However there is no research concening their use in the Greek preschool education. Therefore we decided to conduct a study in order to find out: a) which software is used by preschool teachers and how it is used, b) what are the goals of these preschool teachers when they use the computer and how this educational tool helps them to achieve them, c) under what conditions the computer is used (how many children work with it, how the other youngsters are occupied during that time and so on), d) what is the relationship between the children and the teacher and among the children when they use this machine and e) what is the teachers' education concerning the use of the hardware and the software. The results of this study are presented in this paper.
