Περίληψη
Η Εταιρική Κοινωνική Ευθύνη ως πεδίο πολιτικής στην Ευρώπη αναδεικνύει τον ρόλο και τη συμβολή των επιχειρήσεων στην αειφόρο ανάπτυξη, μέσα από το πρίσμα της υπεύθυνης επιχειρηματικότητας για την κοινωνία, την αγορά και το περιβάλλον. Η έννοια της ΕΚΕ διαχρονικά πραγματεύεται, επίσης, με το αντικείμενο της διοίκησης λαμβάνοντας υπόψη την επιχειρηματική ηθική, τον εθελοντισμό και τη διαχείριση των ενδιαφερομένων μερών σε μια επιχείρηση. Η ανάγκη, ωστόσο, στην Ευρώπη για σχεδιασμό πολιτικής στο πεδίο της ΕΚΕ, ήδη από την δεκαετία του ’90, προσδιορίζει το ρόλο του κράτους στο πεδίο πολιτικής αυτό και εξελίσσεται μέσα από τη διασύνδεση της έννοιας με τα πεδία της αειφόρου ανάπτυξης, της ανταγωνιστικότητας και της κοινωνικής ευημερίας. Η ανάπτυξη και ο σχεδιασμός πολιτικής για την ΕΚΕ στην Ευρώπη και την Ελλάδα αποκτά τόσο άμεσα όσο και έμμεσα χαρακτηριστικά, ενώ ήδη από τις αρχές του 21ου αιώνα ασκείται σε ευρωπαϊκό, εθνικό και περιφερειακό επίπεδο. Το τελευταίο έχει ιδιαίτερη σημασία για την Ελλάδα και τον ρόλο του κράτους τοπικά, δεδομένου ότι φαίνεται να αποτελεί ένα ενδιαφέρον πεδίο περιφερειακής πολιτικής με στόχο την περιβαλλοντική αειφορία, την τόνωση της απασχόλησης, της ενίσχυσης του κοινωνικού κεφαλαίου και της υπεύθυνης επιχειρηματικότητας.
