Book Review: Napoleon Maravegias (ed.) European Union. Creation, evolution, prospects. Athens: Kritiki Publishing, 2016.

Abstract

The European Union (EU) is the largest and most enduring unifying project in the world, based on the characteristic of voluntary accession of states while relinquishing their monopoly of power in critical areas of power. The book, edited by Professor Napoleon Maraveyas of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, serves at its core the following dual objective: a) on the one hand to depict in a synthetic way the creation and evolution of the EU, b) on the other hand to deepen in more specific issues of political nature and individual fields of European public policies and policy procedures.
