Abstract
Peinture rupestre de Gelvere (30 km au Nord de Koron), Cappadoce, attestant la dévotion rendue aux soldats morts à l’époque des guerres arabo-byzantines. Le sujet est une scène de combat entre le démon et deux cavaliers, un skribon Léon et un tourmaque Michel. Le démon est un petit guerrier à tête de lion. En seconde couche sur une grande croix sous arcade, la composition est celle de Georges et Théodore terrassant Satan.
