An unknown workshop of painters from the beginning of the 16th century in Epirus
Abstract
In four monuments of the beginning of the 16th century in Epirus we ascertain the work of a common workshop. These monuments follow the tradition of the school ofOhrid and the workshop of Kastoria, in parallel with strong influences from the work of Xenos Digenis. They, thus, comprise one of the links in the transition from the art of the 15th century to that of the school of Thebes.
