Applied educational scenarios of experiential learning of local history in the development of cultural consciousness
Abstract
The paper demonstrates the results of the teaching approach conducted in the school years 2013 to 2017 in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades of the 3rd Primary School of Amfissa. In the framework of the teaching approach, the method of experiential learning was followed through selected educational scenarios. The students elaborated, experientially, cultural areas of the local history of Amfissa and produced cultural material. The paper reveals the prospect of developing cultural consciousness through experiential learning of the local history and the local cultural element in primary school students. Researchers and teachers could retrieve aspects from this approach for further research and implementation.
