Designing an educational program for Archaeometry: A case study of bridging Archaeological Museum Collections with Modern Scientific Knowledge
Abstract
The possibility of disseminating elements of the natural sciences, not in the usual environment of the science and technology museum, but in the archaeological museum, is proposed through the design of a museographic structure, the Science Educative Islet. This structure is constituted at the same time as a communication element and as an educational tool related to archaeometry, a scientific "field-bridge" between archaeology and natural sciences. This article presents the designing principles and content of the educational program which is inextricably linked to this museographic structure.
