Περίληψη
Η απόκτηση λεξιλογίου είναι πολύ σημαντική για τα παιδιά και συνδέεται άμεσα με τις επιδόσεις τους στην ανάγνωση και τη γραφή, αλλά και τις γενικότερες ακαδημαϊκές επιδόσεις τους αργότερα στο σχολείο. Στόχος της παρούσας έρευνας ήταν να μελετήσει πως τα παιδιά προσχολικής ηλικίας αποκτούν νέες λέξεις μέσα από την ανάγνωση ιστοριών αναδεικνύοντας έτσι την ηορεία απόκτησης λεξιλογίου. Στην έρευνα συμμετείχαν 192 παιδιά ηλικίας 3;6 - 4;6 χρονών. Στα παιδιά παρουσιάστηκαν καινούργιες λέξεις σε διαφορετικά γλωσσικά πλαίσια μέσα από την ανάγνωση ιστοριών. Αμέσως μετά το άκουσμα της κάθε ιστορίας η αποκτηθείσα γνώση αξιολογήθηκε μέσα από επτά λεξιλογικά έργα. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δίνεται στην ποιοτική ανάλυση των απαντήσεων των παιδιών ώστε να αναδειχθούν οι λεξιλογικές αναπαραστάσεις που σχηματίζουν τα παιδιά στην ηορεία απόκτησης νέων λέξεων. Τα αποτελέσματα της μελέτης δείχνουν ότι η ηορεία απόκτησης λεξιλογίου σχετίζεται άμεσα τόσο με το γλωσσικό πλαίσιο παρουσίασης των νέων λέξεων όσο και με τη μέθοδο αξιολόγησης της αποκτηθείσας γνώσης.
