Abstract
This paper is aimed at highlighting the importance of cooperation between school and parents, focusing on the group of immigrant parents. For the last decades, the significance of this cooperation has been acknowledged globally, since parents’ involvement in their children's education could contribute to the development of children’s social-emotional skills, as well as to their school success. School-family cooperation has been indicated to play an important role in the case of immigrant parents, despite the objective difficulties that may arise in the collaboration between school and the specific target group. Nevertheless, teachers and immigrant parents must strive for an effective communication and creative cooperation, aiming at immigrant children’s smooth inclusion into school and social context.
