Απόψεις νηπιαγωγών για την εφαρμογή των ΔΕΠΠΣ για το νηπιαγωγείο
Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate whether the new curriculum for the kindergarten, published by the Pedagogical Institute in 2002, is applied in the Greek kindergartens and if so, to what degree and how. More specifically, the goals of the present study were to find out: a) the kindergarten teachers' understanding of the aims of the curriculum, its activities and methods of teaching, b) the way of putting into practice the project approach which is suggested in the present curriculum, c) the school year that the kindergarten teachers started applying this curriculum in their
classrooms, d) the possible difficulties that they faced and/or face during its application, e) the role of the children, parents and teachers during its application and f) the changes that they observe in children, themselves and parents after its application. One hundred and thirty nine kindergarten teachers from different prefectures of Northern Greece answered the above questions in a questionnaire especially designed for the present study. The results of the statistical analysis are presented in this paper.
