Günter Grass
Abstract
This article of the Nobel prizewinner German writer refers to the role of the stock market in the globalizing economy of our times and the inability of the elected parliaments to resits the imposition of the interests of the capital against the interests of the people. If the democratically elected parliaments do not assume their responsibilities and if we al do not exercise our sovereign right to resist to the unrestraint power of capital, then our future will be uncertain and every regression to situations we thought had irrevocably passed will become possible.
