The elections for the basque parliament: Primary "second order" elections
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the results of the elections to the Basque Parliament through the model of second order elections, in order to show the importance of these elections for the Basque electorate. To begin with, the framework of the theoretical model and the Basque political and electoral systems are given. Next, the electoral results are compared, in order to manifest certain trends of electoral behavior that are present in this type of elections.
