Abstract
The well-known icon of the Virgin Galaktotrophousa in the Velimezis Collection, which according to its inscription was painted in 1778, is attributed to the painter Ioannis from Kapesovo, Epirus, the son of Anastasios, who later became the monk Athanasios.
