The Impact of Brexit to the Greek Maritime Cluster
Abstract
Brexit was a political choice, with diverse facets and unclear implications for the UK, the EU and the rest of the world. Numerous researchers have been involved in a process of investigating its impact in a number of industries, including shipping. This particular case, however, is of Greek interest given that Greece is a traditional naval power, with close ties with the UK. Therefore, this article embarks an investigation on the potential implications of Brexit for the Greek shipping cluster, by assessing the presence of Greek-owned shipping companies in the UK as well as the perspectives of the involved stakeholders.
