The issue was published after a joint call for papers of the journals Revista Contexto Internacional, published by the Institute of International Relations (IRI) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and Perifereia | Region & Periphery published by the Research Centre for Economic Policy, Governance and Development (EKOPDA) of the PSPA/NKUA. The editors of the special issue are Andrea Ribeiro Hoffmann and Dimitris Katsikas.
